With roots dating back to 1874, Community Counseling Center is one of Maine's oldest and most comprehensive private nonprofit family service agencies. Community Counseling Center provides a safe haven to individuals and families throughout the entire lifespan, helping them build on their strengths and develop tools to cope with unexpected challenges, such as divorce, substance abuse, parenting a deaf child, readjusting after war, overcoming discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, or caring for an aged parent. Each year, Community Counseling Center serves approximately 6,000 individuals providing a wide array of services that effectively enhance emotional strength and well-being.

Community Counseling Center (CCC) employs approximately 100 professional staff members who are committed to enhancing the emotional health of Maine residents. CCC offers an exceptional work environment which includes quality supervision, advancement opportunities and flexible schedules. Community Counseling Center is dedicated to providing training opportunities to all staff members. Numerous in-house training programs are offered each year, and all staff are given the opportunity to participate in professional advancement training to enhance their skills. Career opportunities exist for clinicians/counselors, case managers, clinical supervisors and administrative staff.
