A working atmosphere that promotes a positive work experience.
Time and a half for recognized holidays.
A Loving Touch is not your typical place of employment. We provide a warm inviting atmosphere that enables our caretakers and office support staff a safe place to not only perform their job, but to also open up as individuals and share ideas. We support a casual yet professional dress code and expect that if we treat our employees with respect and dignity that we will get that and more in return.
As non-medical caregivers we are not required to participate in health care training, but we do encourage our staff to participate in Alzheimer's seminars because a large number of our clients either have Alzheimer's or some type of dementia. It is important that our caregivers keep abreast of the latest information regarding the disease to understand the best possible way to provide our clients with the support they need. We also do in-house, one-on-one training to better equip our caregivers with the tools they need to perform at a very high standard.
You never know what a new client will bring to your day. We provide out of the ordinary services such as taking a client on a boat ride or going to the park to feed the ducks. We're up for suggestions too! Just ask and we'll do our very best to accommodate you. We're companions and friends to our clients and take great satisfaction in the fact that we create relationships and add substance to an otherwise lonely existence.
A Loving Touch opened its doors in March of 1994 in Bangor, Maine. A family owned and operated business for the past 15 years, A Loving Touch was one of the first Maine based Home Help Care services of its kind. Since opening, many similar companies have come and gone, and while the economy has been challenging, A Loving Touch continues to thrive.
"There are no words to express how much we all appreciate your care and gentleness with our father. You made it possible for him to remain at home, to stay as independent as possible and to die peacefully with his family. What greater gift can a person give another? Thank you."
Sincerely, the Rappaport Family
