Description: This position requires Tellers to interact and assist customers in a prompt, friendly and professional manner. Tellers are responsible for ensuring that customer transactions are processed accurately while maintaining a balanced cash drawer and adhering to internal controls and procedures. Tellers are expected to conduct relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall marketing effort of the bank.

Customer Service:

  • Expected to greet customers and facilitate a welcoming and positive customer focused experience using the Principals of Exceptional Service.
  • Builds relationships by providing superior customer service by getting to know customers on an individual basis and exceeding their expectations.
  • Engages in conversation to understand customer needs and financial goals, appropriately refers customers to other team members when necessary.

Working Conditions:

All full time employees are expected to work a 40 hour workweek and schedules vary based on need.

  • Position requires ongoing interaction with the public from an assigned workstation.
  • Must be able to maintain an assigned cash-drawer, including retrieving the cash-drawer weighing approximately 10 lbs. from a combination vault locker and returning it at the end of the day.
  • May be required to move bags of coin (up to 50 lbs.) short distances.
  • Position requires moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous teller, cash handling and/or sales experience helpful
  • Personal ease with customer interactions while providing superior service in accordance with the Bank’s Exceptional Service Principals.
  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and is able to work harmoniously with all employees.
  • Professional attributes including; professional appearance, dependability and a commitment to punctuality and attendance
  • Ability to easily communicate/converse professionally with customers and employees both over the telephone and in person.
  • Ability to read/write English and is able to understand and follow instructions.
  • An aptitude for accuracy with good organizational ability and attentiveness to detail.
  • Demonstrated personal computer literacy.
  • Good math skills.
