Description: This position requires Tellers to interact and assist customers in a prompt, friendly and professional manner. Tellers are responsible for ensuring that customer transactions are processed accurately while maintaining a balanced cash drawer and adhering to internal controls and procedures. Tellers are expected to conduct relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall marketing effort of the bank.
Customer Service:
- Expected to greet customers and facilitate a welcoming and positive customer focused experience using the Principals of Exceptional Service.
- Builds relationships by providing superior customer service by getting to know customers on an individual basis and exceeding their expectations.
- Engages in conversation to understand customer needs and financial goals, appropriately refers customers to other team members when necessary.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Recent retail sales, cashier or other money-handling experience is required.
- Recent banking experience helpful but not necessary.
- A friendly, outgoing personality and a positive attitude.
- A cooperative spirit that interacts harmoniously with others, and a commitment to teamwork.
- Professional attributes including; professional appearance and dependability through commitment to punctuality and attendance.
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.
- An aptitude for accuracy with good organizational ability and attentiveness to detail.
- Ability to read/write English and to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to easily communicate/converse with other individuals.
- General computer literacy and use of general office equipment.
- Good math skills.
Working Conditions:
The Full-time teller will work approximately 40 hours per week and will have direct contact with customers. All employees are expected to provide Exceptional Service in a prompt and professional manner. Duties include cash handling, processing transactions and responding to customer inquiries.
