Substitute Food Coordinators

to work in our Preschool and Infant Toddler Early Learning Centers in Franklin and Oxford Counties.

Community Concepts provides meals and snacks to children enrolled in our Head Start and Early Head Start programs. If you love spending time with young children and want to help contribute to their nutritional well-being, this job may be for you. The Substitute Food Coordinator will plan, purchase, and prepare meals following Head Start and CACFP dietary requirements for children ages birth to five years; and complete the required documentation. Candidates must possess primary computer and math skills. These positions are on-call, as needed, and not eligible for benefits.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required
  • experience working with young children preferred
  • On-the-job training provided
  • Considerable stamina is needed to bend, lift, carry, etc.
  • Agency provided CPR and First Aid certifications after the hire
  • Pre-employment physical, Covid vaccination or employer-verified exemption, SBI, DMV, DHHS, Maine Sex Offender Registry, fingerprinting, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer hire as a condition of employment.
