*Position Title: MACHINE OPERATOR *
1st SHIFT Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm
2nd SHIFT Schedule: Monday – Friday 3:30pm – 12:00am
Pay Range Based on Experience: $19.25 – $22.00
Job Description: The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining production and quality standards on the digital print & insert machines, setting up the machine, and producing accurate work on a timely basis. The Machine Operator must work successfully within tight deadlines and use problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain production and quality standards on the digital print and insert machines.
- Perform certified preventative maintenance, adjustments, and repairs as needed; contact maintenance staff when appropriate.
- Troubleshoot and attempt to correct equipment problems and errors using certification training knowledge and reference materials; elevate to management & maintenance team as needed.
- Review and check pertinent specifications and information on the machine’s diagnostic screen to determine proper operation.
- Scan completed jobs to keep systems updated.
- Work jobs with Ironsides technology when required.
- Perform quality checks on printed files, images, and documents to check size, font, and text with special emphasis on strict quality control and accuracy.
- Set-up equipment to ensure documents are processed correctly.
- Resolve equipment errors by determining and implementing proper resolution based on reference material.
- Document and log maintenance and job activities.
- Operate multiple machines simultaneously.
- Cross train on all machines; Xerox, Prisma, Oce’ roll feed presses, Pitney Bowes, Gunther, and Bell & Howell.
- Communicate pertinent information to co-workers, internal contacts, and management in a clear and concise manner.
- Adhere to DMM Direct and client confidentiality requirements and HIPAA regulations.
- Organizes tasks and resources to complete work and meet deadlines according to established departmental procedures.
- Order consumables and stock for jobs and assist with tracking inventory.
- Acquire and adopt new information in a changing technical environment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned to help DMM attain its corporate goals
