Personal Bankers (PBs) are responsible for building strong relationships with customers by following a pre-defined relationship building process learning about customers needs by asking advice oriented questions resulting in the offering, selling and referring financial products and services (i.e. Checking Accounts, CD's IRA's, Loans and referrals to investment partners) to both consumer and small business customers. Demonstrate Northway's fundamental values and exhibit a positive commitment to the company’s objectives. Personal Bankers may be required to work Saturday mornings and/or extended hours and regular, reliable attendance is critical.
Essential Duties Include:
- Personal Bankers effectively build relationships with customers and prospects following Northway’s relationship building process, probing needs and offering valuable solutions based upon current and future needs meeting or exceeding assigned performance goal.
- Proactively participates in all customer outreach efforts as may be deemed appropriate by our annual marketing and sales plan. These activities may include: outbound sales calls, mailings, outside informational/educational sessions.
- Personal Bankers partner with Tellers and other associates to build referral volume for customer relationship deepening.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of six months of customer service experience; One year or more of sales experience in a goal and/or commission-based environment within the past three years.
- Build strong relationships with clients and prospects that result in customers buying products and services based on needs and unanticipated needs.
- Demonstrate problem-solving, teamwork abilities and ability to be proactive.
- Perform written and verbal communications utilizing standard business ethics.
- Must be registered, or have the ability to be an accepted registrant, with the National Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLSR).
