*General Summary: *As a Production Technician, you will be hands-on in the start-to-finish manufacturing and assembly process of Paradigm Windows’s custom windows. You will work with raw materials to build and assemble components to our windows and doors utilizing power tools, saws, and machinery. You will bring your knowledge of production and carpentry to deliver the highest level of building accuracy and efficiency, ensuring products are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality.

*Peak Season Shift: *Monday-Thursday 6:00am-5:30pm, mandatory overtime Fridays 6:00am-4:30pm, and mandatory overtime on Saturdays 6:00am-2:30pm.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *

  • Assemble and construct window components with meticulous attention to detail using power tools, saws, and specialized machinery.
  • Secure and install window hardware with precision utilizing hand tools and air screw guns. Clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together with hand tools or by hand.
  • Operate and monitor automated machines such as weather-stripping machines and corner cleaners in various operation stages on assembly line, ensuring smooth production flow and quality.
  • Read and interpret measurements with a U.S. tape measure, ensuring accuracy to the 1/32 inch.
  • Adapt to various workstations based on production needs, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production goals and uphold safety standards.
  • Must have good hand dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or assembly environment.
  • Proficient in the use of power tools, machinery, and saws; carpentry experience is highly valued.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and troubleshoot issues swiftly.
  • Ability to read and accurately utilize a U.S. tape measure.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent as well as to draw/interpret graphs.
  • Proficiency in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various units of measure. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to learn new information systems and leverage them to enhance business processes and efficient results.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor comfortably.

*Preferred Skills and Experience: *

  • High school education or GED.

*Physical Demands and Working Conditions: *

  • Must be able to work in a loud and fast paced environment, make good judgements, and assist when necessary.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for 10 hours, and regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds (Must be comfortable performing repetitive tasks using arms and hands).
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Bonus program: If production performance percentage is at least 1% over budget at the end of the month, a calculated bonus is paid out to production members the following month.
  • Opportunity for criteria increase evaluation after 90 days. Criteria increases are initiated by the employee completing required training and application of specific job skills and are criteria based. Levels are Assembler 1-3; evaluation would determine level and pay increase.
