The Town of Brunswick currently has three openings for Firefighter/ EMT. We are a progressive department that seeks individuals to join our team.

We are an All Hazards Department, in preparation of our mission we not only conduct in house Fire and EMS training, we also train all members on Confined Space Rescue an as Hazardous Materials Technicians. We have a Fire Investigation Team that works with our Police department on Fire Investigations. We encourage all members to obtain their Paramedic license, all members must obtain Advanced EMT licensure.

The Town of Brunswick offers an excellent benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life and short-term disability plans. We offer an educational assistance incentive, in house gym at both stations. The pension is a 25-years, no age, 2/3 pay, COLA. We work a 24-48-24-96 shift rotation.

Current Licensed Paramedics who get hired or those currently in a Paramedic Program that become licensed after being hired will receive a onetime $2,500 bonus.

The full pay ranges for a 42-hour Firefighter/EMT schedule are as follows:

FF/EMT-A $23.01 - $28.57 per hour ($50,253.84 to $62,396.88 annually)

FF/EMT-P $25.31 - $31.42 per hour ($55,277.04 to $68,621.28 annually)

*Starting pay depends on education and experience

All candidates will be required to undergo the Brunswick Fire Department physical agility test. (CPAT will not be accepted). A practice physical agility test will be offered on **__Saturday, July 1, 2023__.** Candidates will need a signed medical release form before participating in either Physical Agility Test (Practice or Actual). The written exam and final physical agility test will take place on **__Saturday, July 15, 2023__.** Candidates will be notified of site location and times following application.
