About the Position
As a kitchen manager, the selected candidate will lead a talented food service team of 6 employees in serving 750 students grade 9-12, as well as 300 students who attend our vocational school. We provide a number of food choices for our students including multicultural offerings. As a kitchen manager you interact with not only your coworkers but also students and staff members from across the district.
About the School
Westbrook High School has one of the most spacious school nutrition kitchens in the State of Maine. We have hosted a number of professional chefs in our kitchen to provide training on multicultural cooking as well as cooking local foods. We have five convection ovens, a two bay steamer, a large tilt skillet, a six burner gas stove, a 60 quart mixer, and other support equipment for a very functional commercial kitchen.
